Following the success of the International Fashion Trend Forecast 2017 seminar last year, Indonesian Textile Association (API) will host the International Fashion Trend Forecast 2018 seminar on May 10 at Hotel Kartika Chandra, Jakarta, with the Cotton Council International (CCI) and the Indonesian Ministry of Industry as sponsors.
The fashion, garment, and textile industries play a pivotal role in the Indonesian economy. Each year, no less than US$12 billion revenue is generated from the industries’ exports.
It’s vital that those involved in the export market remain up-to-date with the latest trends in the textile and fashion industry. This includes not only stakeholders in the garment and fashion industries, but also in the textile industry that provide raw materials for garment and textile verticals. By understanding the latest fashion trends, the textile industry is expected to anticipate upcoming trends by continuously developing textile products that receive positive responses from the global audience.
International Fashion Trend Forecast 2018 will explore the theme ‘Trends of Textile Products Made of US Cotton.’ Keynote speaker Jane Singer (co-founder of Inside Fashion magazine), who participated in last year’s seminar as keynote speaker, is back this year and will touch on:
- Spring 2018: Trends of Garments Made of US Cotton
- Five Strategies for Building Profitability Back into Brands
API head Ade Sudrajat said the seminar can be utilized by textile, garment and fashion manufacturers and exporters in Indonesia in facing global market demands.
